This episode of The Following opens with the kidnapped girl from the last episode. The fake gay couple, and Emma argue over Megan, the kidnapped girl. They decide that poor Megan, has to die.
This is understandable because the group is on the run from the FBI, but come-on. Why do more people have to die?

Ryan visits Carroll, and finds out the one of his cult members, Maggie, has had a killing spree in Arkansas. She’s becoming a big deal in these past few episodes. Totally uncovering that Maggie isn’t as innocent as she seemed last week.
We find out about Hardy’s sister, Jenny, and Hardy’s past alcohol problem. His sister keeps calling, and Hardy keeps ignoring the calls. He picks up, finally, and finds that Maggie is with Jenny. Planning on killing her.
Hardy has a flash back to him and Claire in the middle of pillow talk, he tells of his mothers lose to cancer, his fathers death of wrong place wrong time, and his older brothers 9/11 death. Showing the reason he is so emotionally hard.
The flash backs and side switching in this show is insane, hard to follow, but completely worth it. You have to think so much it keeps your attention high.
Paul gets jealous that he lost his bff, Jacob, to Emma, and lets it slip that Jacob is a killing virgin. Opps! A big no-no for this freaky cult group.
The show flash backs to Hardy and Claire going on a date to Jenny’s restaurant, where Maggie has taken Jenny, not very original in my opinion. It’s predictable, though; where else would they go?
Jacob lets Megan go, but Emma and Paul find her. Emma and Paul, re-kidnap Megan, leaving her trapped in the basement yet again! Silly girl should just learn she ain’t gonna make it.
Maggie starts to torture Ryan by stopping his Pacemaker, a very short abrupt fight breaks out with another agent and Maggie ends up dead. This chapter is over with the good guy winning again.
The ending of this episode was confusing and twisted. Everything flips, and many things are uncovered in this bumpy ride. Score: 8/10.
