Since November 26th students have been able to bring in stuffed teddy bears to social studies teacher Beverley Jarrett to donate to the Rough Riders, a service club that works to better the community. On Christmas Eve, these bears will be distributed to various children’s hospitals around the area to help bring a smile to their faces this holiday season. The drive will go on until December 19th and by then, Jarrett would like to have at least 1,500 bears donated.
Jarrett stresses that NHS members are not the only ones who can bring in bears and that “any one can donate”.
As of today, December 5th, there are a total of 596 bears.
