On Wednesday night our Lady Warriors faced off against our rival school, the Gaither Cowboys in an intense game with an excited crowd.

Steinbrenner started off the game with a swishing three pointer to the joy crowd. The first quarter was not even close; our Lady Warriors ended the first half with a 14 point lead at 29-15.

A very strong defense remained throughout the second half, keeping the Cowboys at bay and the Lady Warriors scoring shot after shot. Although our lead remained substantial throughout the game, the player’s intensity remained at the same level the entire time.

“We want to work hard as a team together so that we can pull out a win in the end,” said Emma Wilson, a Junior on the team. “We were expecting to win by a little bit more but made sure to keep the same intensity.”

Everyone could see how well our Lady Warriors operated like clockwork. Working almost as one machine with several moving parts to create smooth plays and beautiful finishes. Our Lady Warriors made us extremely proud on Wednesday, ending off the night to a cheering crowd and a win with the score of  54-40.
