Our Junior Varsity Volleyball team played against Wiregrass Ranch High School last Thursday, but, came up short in the end and lost their game.
Wiregrass started out with a steady lead in the first set, with Steinbrenner struggling to catch up. They were unable to close the gap and the final score for the first set was 25-18. The Warriors came onto the court stronger in the second set, leading for the majority of it. How ever, Wiregrass was able to catch up and win 15-20.
“Personally, I didn’t get many of the tips that the other team put over the net,” said Ella Flach, Freshman and member of the JV team. “But, we just work harder at practice to get better at that.”
Although they lost, the girls played with effort and determination, two qualities of any Steinbrenner Warrior.
