With captains in the stands leading on a cheer, the swimmers throw up Steinbrenner's signature Ws. Steinbrenner swimmers hold up hand painted letters to show their team spirit. The entire Steinbrenner swim team lines the sides of the pool chanting at the stop of the lungs before the meet begins. Junior captain, Josh Price, stands tall in front of the swimmers as they prepare for the day’s events. Senior captain, Parker Sampson, dives in to swim the first half of a relay for the boys swim team. Sophomore, Elijah Moothendan, swims back to the starting blocks half way through his part of the race. Junior, Costandina Pissourios, applies blue eye shadow to freshman, Jessica Weins. The team brought all of their spirit in hopes of winning the spirit award. Junior, William Whiting, continues swimming breast stroke even after his goggles fell off. Steinbrenner swimmers participate in a cheer off against a mixture of Hillsborough High School and Strawberry Crest High School swimmers.
