This week will feature some key match-ups around the area with one thing on the line: Playoffs. Here’s my look at the key games on-tap around the area this week.
Land O’ Lakes at Sunlake – This is finally the opportunity to break the Gators’ 14-year playoff streak, as for “little brother” Sunlake, their sunshine is close to peering out from the LOL shadow.
Hillsborough at Armwood – This probably won’t be much of a contest, however the winner is guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. Hmmmm… Sickles, can you hear me now?
Tampa Bay Tech at Steinbrenner – Another curious game for the Warriors. The last time that notion of “biggest game in school history” was thrown around…it was about as low of a perfomance as you can get (see Gaither 37 Steinbrenner 7). However there is hope, a 53-0 win last week gives them a shot…maybe?
Lakewood at Jesuit – Big game, Jesuit has the home field advantage, a Lakewood victory? HA…Jesuit will clinch the title.
Fivay at Pasco – Well…at least Fivay won’t be pounded 80-0 like Strawberry Crest was verse Armwood.
Alonso at Plant – The Panthers looked a bit shakey early on, the Ravens have dominated this may be tough to call, but Plant has the experience, the wins and Robert Weiner.
