Recently, the Steinbrenner 200 stairway has become overfilled with students trying to get to their next class. However, the other side of the hallway is almost empty. Kids are not using the other side even though it may be closer to their classroom.

“It’s hard to get through the crowd of people just to get to class,” said Sophomore Gretchen Knight.

Students are having a tough time finding their way through the huge group of students while trying to get to class. What does not help is that there are so many people walking through, that not only does it take longer, but it seems like people are not moving and flowing through very easily.

“It takes a while for me to get up the stairs and to my class since its more towards the middle, so I feel like I’m always rushing to get to class,” said Knight.

Being late to class or feeling the rush to get there because of the stairway is a problem for all the students who use it. The other side of the hallway is encouraged to be used, especially if someone’s class is more towards that way. It will help keep the flow of people moving from one class to the next and can help students get to their classes on time. With the number of students constantly in the 200 building, using the other side of the building will be extremely helpful to not get stuck in the hallways or the building.

“It’s insane to get through especially after coming from a far class” Sophomore RyLynn Engert said

The school needs to work out good routes to their classes so they can have a full five minutes to do anything necessary to get ready for their next class. It will be so much easier and less time-consuming. There are many ways to get to the classes in the 200 building and students using different ones will be help control the crowds of students at one entrance or exit.
