The Steinbrenner color guard has officially started off their fall season performing at Steinbrenner’s football games, helping to raise the warriors’ spirits as they fight their way to the top. During the half-time show, the team performs with our band’s music standing together to encourage those playing on the field and entertain those sitting on the sides.
To help bring the energy back to the game as they go into the second half, the color guard does amazing performances to fill the field with more spirit and love for our team. The squad brings on their spirit for the rest of the football season to continue their school spirit and support the Steinbrenner warriors.
A member of the color guard Senior Caedence Rippey said she feels the color guards game performances bring more “school spirit, encouragement to the football players or just support towards our fellow classmates.”
As they perform on the field the students on the team lead with their energy towards the topic and bring some inspiration to everyone involved, whether it is a football player, another teammate or someone on the side. The refreshment of the performance moves towards a new light, adding on to the game. No matter the conditions of weather or the field the team even continues to perform no matter what, showing their dedication to the support and love of our players.
Rippey also talks about how “you get really close with people, you’re doing something you love and it’s really easy to love.” The easy to love environment and people will create the team it always creates that becomes a supporting and caring family.
The Steinbrenner performers for color guard enjoy their experience of inclusion in our school and each other and bring themselves together as a team and work hard for our school. This helps to create a safe and welcoming environment that attracts the student of Steinbrenner towards sport. With new friends to join, the team can head into a new season with more inspiration. More compassion will fill the fields and stages that the students perform on, highlighting the warrior spirit that they all hold in them.
Even after half-time, the color guard continues to support our warriors as they play against the other team. Bringing more heat, the team heads into their competitive season. Their competition brings nothing but more joy and love towards our schools 2021-2022 year. Students are encouraged to join the team for a new experience, and to help build a family within the sports walls. With many more performances and competitions scheduled for the school year the color guard looks forward to a successful season.
