Post Malone’s “Hollywood’s Bleeding” takes the music industry by surprise and impresses all his fans with 17 hits.

Post Malone has previously made an album that landed first in the Billboard 200, called “Beerbongs & Bentleys”. For many artists, that’s a great achievement and a good place to stop recording and take a break from music, but Post Malone took no breaks, and his new “Hollywood’s Bleeding” scores number one in the Billboard 200.

Instead of making music that is hard to relate to, Malone has switched his style and his lyrics in this new album are more emotional and heartfelt. In fact, his album was so loved by his fans that it racked up 365.4 million audio streams, within a week of the album being released, which is the largest streaming week for an album during 2019.

Malone also manages to land four songs in the top 10, with two songs in the top five, an achievement only matched by five other musicians. To add on this long list of accomplishments, all 13 debut songs in the album were able to reach the top 100, with the lowest placing 58th

As established in many previous Post Malone albums, he supports the idea of making music with other artists. Artists such as 21 Savage and Nicki Minaj have worked with him in his previous album, but this album featured stars that were more known and loved by the society. “Hollywood’s Bleeding” boasts features from Lil Baby, Ozzy Osbourne, DaBaby, Fututre, Halsey, Meek Mill, Travis Scott, Young Thug, SZA, and Swae Lee.

Something the album lacked was its consistency in the genre. Audiences couldn’t tell if the album was hip hop, rock, pop or house music. One song was fast-paced and energizing, and then the next would be a slow pop track that didn’t relate to the first one at all.

Overall, the album was unquestionably one of the best albums released during this year. It surely impressed fans and was able to make it to the first spot in the Billboard 200.

8/10
