This year, Steinbrenner’s homecoming will take place in Palm Harbor, only a few minutes difference from the previous location, the Marshall Center at USF. Students at Steinbrenner, mostly underclassmen, look forward to homecoming year-round as a way to let loose and escape the stress of school and its activities.

“Dressing up and getting all fancy is nice after a while,” said junior Kaleb Kunkle, when asked why he finds it enjoyable.

While some may argue that the location change might discourage students, a majority of them believe it will actually encourage their fellow peers.

The changes “will be good because we were over capacity at the Marshall Center. This will give everyone more room. Overall, I think it’ll be a good thing,” said Angela Haskell, the teacher in charge of planning Steinbrenner’s homecoming.

Hopefully, this year’s changes will cause homecoming to be more enjoyable for Steinbrenner’s hardworking students who attend this year’s event and who put in a lot of effort to plan it.
