During the 2017-2018 school season, the Steinbrenner Girl’s Soccer team, led by Coach Shannon Scott, has remain undefeated until recently and has implemented the mercy rule three times this season already

Their record is 6-3. So far, the Steinbrenner Lady Warriors have faced off against the Braden River Pirates, Jefferson Dragons, Leto Falcons, King Lions, Strawberry Crest Chargers, and Alonso Ravens. Each team was not able to even score a goal thanks to goalie, Mackaylin Card.

Unfortunately, in the past week the Steinbrenner girls’ soccer team lost the past three games to Plant, Wharton, and Palm Harbor University, all of which are district opponents.

“We are having a great season so far, everyone is getting to play. The last six games have been getting us prepared for our district game. Throughout these games, we’ve scored a total of 38 goals. We have a fantastic defense.” said Coach Shannon Scott.

The Steinbrenner Girl’s Soccer team has accomplished much this season and are striving for more

Oftentimes, the student body overlooks the district record, however this record will determine whether they will compete in the playoffs. Up to now, their record is 1-1, as a result of the win against Alonso High School.

However, their season is far from over with five games left. Some of the games are against Wiregrass Ranch, and other non-conference opponents.
