ESTERO – The Steinbrenner girls basketball team defeated Naples Golden Gate 69-36 in first round action at the Queen of The Palms Tournament in Ft. Myers.
The Warriors (10-1) were led offensively by junior guard Baylee Hooker, who continued her scoring dominance with 33 points in the route over the Titans (4-9-). The Steinbrenner offense overwhelmed Golden Gate from long distance, going six for 14 from the three-point line and came down with 40 total rebounds on defense.
The Warriors will play Palm Beach Central tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in the Semi-Final round.
