One year ago, Caitlin McHale, Devyn Dacus, Casey Banales and Annabella Vivero, the members of the all girl rock band Extra Celestial, performed for the first time at Red Star Rock Bar. Despite all of their equipment failing, they proved they had what it takes to be a strong, empowering and successful band. Within a year they released their first song on Itunes “Restart”, filmed a music video and have continued to produce a larger auidence.

Earlier this year, their song “Restart” was released onto Itunes. The breakup anthem is about new beginnings and turning a bad situation into time to get a fresh start.

“Restart is about having a breakup and deciding to restart yourself and show that you aren’t dependent on the other person and that you can move on,” said Dacus.

On August 18, they debuted their first music video for “Restart,” which was shot this summer in Los Angeles. They’re seen walking the streets of LA and performing at Ric’s and Twin Dragons MMA. The video was shot and edited by Dacus having the journey seen through the eyes of the band themselves.
On September 1 they were featured on ABC Action News’s Tampa Bay’s Morning Blend to discuss their up-rise and success. They spoke about the group dynamic and their recent trip for their “Restart” music video and later performed the song at the end of the show.

“Filming a performance for TV was definitely nerve racking, but we still had a lot of fun. It’s different from playing onstage to a live audience, and the experience was really eye opening for all of us,” said McHale.
