The Steinbrenner Boys soccer team handily defeated the Hillsborough Terriers 8-0 causing a mercy rule with one minute left in the first half. It was senior night for the warriors, and the seniors delivered. Steinbrenner Captain Micheal Connell lead the Warriors with 3 goals in the contest, all within the first 20 minutes of the match. This got the Warriors off to an explosive start and helped perpetuate them to the halftime victory. The seniors on the Steinbrenner side are Josh Collister, Tony Scaglione, Micheal Connell,  and Andres Saenz. They all started the game for the warriors and helped lead the team to an easy victory which is a fitting senior night for the warriors, who throughout the last 4 years have been dominant, getting runner up in the state cup, and getting to be in the top 25 high school soccer teams in the nation back in 2014 (when the current senior class were sophomores).

With a record of 14-1-2 this season the Warriors are moving on to District play against Blake on January 15th. If they win that game they will move on to the District Semi-finals and play on January 20th at Plant high school. They hope to continue their winning ways and try to repeat their previous success in inter league play.
