Senior, Ashley Kubel has made a
big impact towards Steinbrenner ’s
Lady Warriors swim team by being
one of the top swimmers for the
past four years.
Competitively swimming for only
five years, Kubel has already
made her mark during her
time here. She continues to push
herself in the freestyle and backstroke
events in hopes of making
it to states.
“I’ve been there every year so
far so to be able to go for all four
years is my goal,” said Kubel.
“This year I’ve broken a personal
record of mine, but in previous
years I have set the 100
freestyle, 100 backstyle, 200 IM
(Individual Medley), 200 freestyle,
as well as 100 breast stroke
records in my high school career,”
said Kubel. She has helped
lead the girls swim team achieve
enormous success in her career,
and many college programs have
paid attention.
“I just recently committed to
Georgia Southern University and
I’ll be swimming there next fall,
I’m really excited,” said Kubel.
