Softball

  1. The Lady Warriors were knocked out in a 7-1 loss to Bartow in the region finals after reaching the semi-finals for the first time in history. What’s more impressive though is that they are doing this with a new head coach, only two seniors and three juniors on the team. This year  the team has put up 240 runs, with close to 300 hits batting as a team, an extraordinary 372% better then last year.

  1. After clinching the school’s second district title against Gaither the previous week, the Warriors continued their walk off magic after going 16 innings to beat Brandon in the regional quarterfinals. The winning run came on a passed ball thrown for an error over the covering pitcher at home allowing Drew Burkhart to cross home plate propelling the Warriors to the regional semifinals.

 

Volleyball

  1. The Lady Warrior volleyball team made it to the state semi-finals this year, after claiming yet another district championship. They have six district titles, along with two regional titles and two final four state appearances.

  1. Steinbrenner Cheer has won Regionals and finished third in the state for competitions. As part of their season, the Warriors also managed to claim four first place landings out of seven competitions this year alone.

 

Football

  1. Putting up 55 points against Wiregrass Ranch’s 40, at the time, playoffs were still a possibility for the Warriors and a big win like this combined with the following week’s win over Freedom set themselves up to control their own destiny.
