Steinbrenner baseball coach John Crumbley has been placed on the ballot for th
e 2012 Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the year award in the 7A category.
Crumbley led the team to its first No. 1 seed in the district tournament in just his third season at the helm. Also on the local ballot, is Matt Staulbaumer, who led the Brandon Eagles to district and regional titles and a state runner-up finish.
Media members from around the state will vote for the player and coach of the year in each classification. Once that group has been selected, writers will vote again on the overall Mr. Baseball and Coach of the year.
