Students of all grades flooded into the gym on Wed., Sep. 10 to witness Steinbrenner’s annual Club Rush. Clubs ranging from interest to honors clubs displayed what they were all about and offered hungry students a place amidst their ranks.
When sophomore Cody Hill of Paintball Club was asked if he was excited for his club’s upcoming events, he voiced the group’s positive outlook for the upcoming year.
“We haven’t had this many people sign up in a while. So, I don’t know, it’s going to be big. We’re going to do a lot more [this year],” said Hill.

Clubs are constantly coming and going, improving and changing. Paintball Club was brought back after a two year hiatus and was astounded with how many people supported it’s come back.

This seemed to be a recurring theme among clubs, as there were too many recruits versus available spots. Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) shared Paintball Club’s enthusiasm about this year’s events. Returning FBLA member, Senior Zachary Zinn clarified that the student organization will be stepping up their game compared to last year.

“As always, we’re always giving back to the community. We’re always giving kids a new experience to learn,” said Zinn.

With the actual club festivities set to ensue in early October, students are reminded to get their club applications turned in and to gear up for the action-packed year ahead.
