Earlier this week, newspaper staffer Anthony Armenia had the opportunity to experience half of the Blood Asylum haunted house at this year’s Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa.

Blood Asylum is one of the two all-new houses at Howl-O-Scream for this year’s event, which invites guests to “Unlock the Fear Inside.” The story line for Blood Asylum features Stu Loomis, aka “The Creature”, escapes from his high-security cell in an asylum for the criminally insane. The Creature proceeds to attack his cell mates and guests, skinning their faces and making the asylum his own personal bloody playground. The haunted house takes place during a lightning storm so guests will be surrounded by loud noises and strobe effects throughout the whole house.

Now, if you dare, watch Anthony Armenia go through one half of the haunted house at 3 a.m. all by himself with a camera attached to his chest.

  1. This was really funny! It gave me an insight on what to expect at Howl-O-Scream. Now I’m even more excited for it! Very brave and job well done.
