On Oct. 25 the Men of Vision Club was invited to see President Barack Obama speak at Centennial Park. The students who attended had to have parental consent, a 3.5 GPA and a form filled out.
Ross Anderson, the founder and sponsor of the Men of Vision Club, was one of the chaperones for the event. This was the first time he could take Men of Vision students to a Presidential Rally.
“It was a wonderful experience; it was cool seeing (President Obama) and those people,” said sophomore Brandon Johnson.
“Our seats were taken, but we got moved to the very front and he shook a couple of the member’s hand,” said Anderson.
President Obama shook the hands of freshman Jeral Cotney, junior William Myers and senior Devonte Henry.
“It was an experience of a lifetime and I got to shake his hand,” said Henry.
