TAMPA – Less than a week after knocking off Wesley Chapel via the  mercy rule, the Steinbrenner baseball team won again, this time in grand fashion.

Warriors (3-3) pitcher Cole Gordon (1-1) paced the offense with his first career home run in the early innings, as the junior knocked out a grand slam.

If that wasn’t enough, Gordon mowed down the Chiefs (1-5) lineup, en route to his first career complete game and no-hitter, the second in school history dating back to Chris Williams’ against Spoto last year.

Chamberlain has been outscored 66-7 through its first six games of the season. The win places the Warriors in third behind current No. 1seed Wiregrass Ranch and No. 2 Gaither through two district contests.

The Cowboys will travel to The Yard for a Class 7A-District 9 contest on Friday evening. The first pitch is at 7 p.m.
