LUTZ – Steinbrenner girls soccer’s senior team captain and record-setting scorer, Cici Gonzalez says she is sticking to her May verbal commitment and will join former teammate Carly Keene at University of Tampa in the Fall.

Gonzalez was a key player in the Warriors’ path to winning the Class 4A state title last year, as she became the only 30/30 player in Hillsborough County with 33 goals and 34 assists.

In her four seasons of high school soccer, Gonzalez has totalled over 86 goals and holds numerous Steinbrenner school-records.

The Warriors (12-3-2) are currently number one is Class 4A-District 8 and have locked up the top seed. They won the Sarasota Holiday Tournament for the first time in three appearances back in Dec.
