A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” – Winston Churchill.
Thinking positivity is one of the hardest challeneges that I’ve had to face. To look at all the difficulties and problems that you face, and still be able to see a silver lining, is a wonderful character trait. I used to be a pessimistic. I believed the worst in everything and everyone. This wasn’t because I was depressed and sad all the time, it was more the fact that I looked at every situation when I faced a decision and focused mainly on the problems that something may cause.
Since this year began, I’ve made myself try to think more positivly and focus only on the good stuff and let the bad roll right off my back. In the words of the famous Ms. Testa I tried to “be a duck”. I still have things that bug me, but I try to think about the good things and not focus on the negative as much. This actually has alleviated a lot of my stress and I believe that I can accomplish more without getting too overwhelmed.
